Catherine joined Axiom DWFM in March 2022 as a Partner in the Wigmore Street office where she is Head of the Family Department.
Background
Catherine is Head of our family team having been a Partner at several other central London firms. She has experience in all areas of family law including financial matters, issues relating to children, non molestation orders, pre marital agreements and cohabitation agreements.
She has particular experience of dealing with matters relating to coercive control and narcissistic behaviour.
She has a specialism in complex issues relating to children including applications to relocate both within and outside the UK.
She has been mentioned in the Legal 500 with the most recent occasion being in 2021. Testimonials from previous clients included:
Catherine Longshaw is diligent and very hardworking. She always puts her client’s strongest case forward whilst not losing sight of the importance of mediation and settlement outside of the Courts.
She is very empathetic, sensible, level-headed and supportive, she helped me greatly through a difficult divorce and also in dealing with some very unpleasant false, but serious, allegations raised by my (now ex-) wife. She is very knowledgeable, experienced and highly competent, in my view‘.
As a mediator, hybrid mediator and collaborative lawyer, she is committed to resolving matters constructively and amicably where possible. However, she is also able to quickly establish where this is not the situation and court proceedings are required. She will always ensure that matters are dealt with in the way that is best for you, taking account of your personal situation.
She understands how important it is to have a solicitor who feels right for you and is happy to have an informal chat about any family issues you have, so that you can see that she is the solicitor for you.
