Louise is a specialist employment lawyer advising employers, employees (at all levels) but with a main focus on senior executives.
Her clients include those within the media and financial sectors, and self-employed individuals (whether engaged directly or via a service company) who she advises on all aspects of employment law. She places a particular emphasis on the resolution of contentious issues through negotiation, and only where necessary and appropriate, via the Employment Tribunals and/or Civil Courts.
Louise specialises in claims involving dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing and breach of contract and, in respect of the latter, is very experienced in disputes surrounding bonus/commission arrangements, confidentiality obligations and post-termination restrictions.
She provides both clients and HR professionals with regular, and often day to day, strategic advice and support in relation to all employment queries from contract negotiations and the recruitment stage through to the implementation of workplace policies, termination and any accompanying exit discussions. She frequently advises upon settlement agreements (often high value and with a corporate aspect such as statutory appointments and shareholdings), the management of senior executive/board departures and team moves. She prides herself on providing her clients with pragmatic, sensible and commercial advice.
Louise is highly skilled at drafting and advising on bespoke employment documentation to include employment contracts and director service agreements, consultancy agreements (to include IR35 advice) and workplace policies: in particular family rights, flexible working, performance management, disciplinary and GDPR. She also regularly advises clients and corporate solicitors with regard to complex restructuring and redundancy consultation, outsourcing and all elements of the TUPE process.

Qualifications and Experience
Louise gained a LLB (Hons) Exempting from the University of Northumbria and was admitted as a Solicitor in February 2010. She has specialised in employment law since her admission.
